Guangdong Peizheng College, founded in 1993 under the name Private Peizheng Business College, was upgraded to an undergraduate institution in 2005 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Guangdong Peizheng College. In 2009, it was authorized by the Guangdong Provincial Bachelor's Degree Evaluation Committee to confer bachelor's degrees. In 2012, it passed the Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching assessment; in 2018, it underwent a review of undergraduate teaching work; and in 2020, it successfully passed the follow-up inspection after rectification from the undergraduate teaching work review.
The school was initiated by the first chairman, Mr. Liang Shangli. Donations from Peizheng alumni both in China and overseas, as well as from social dignitaries and organizations such as the He Shan Heng Charity Foundation and the Shidai Education Foundation, totaled over 80 million RMB, serving as the primary funding for the school's establishment. In 2013, the school became one of the founding members of the National Non-profit Private Higher Education Institutions Alliance.
The college is located in Chini Town, Huadu District, Guangzhou, on the shores of Jiyi Lake, covering an area of 861.28 acres, with a total building area of over 439,800 square meters. The college currently has 1,234 staff members and 18,451 full-time students. The college adheres to the positioning of an applied undergraduate institution specializing in finance and economics, focusing on modern service industries and serving Guangdong and the broader national community. It has 11 departments, including the School of Marxism, School of Management, School of Economics, School of Accounting, School of Law, School of Foreign Languages, School of Data Science and Computer Science, School of Arts, School of Humanities, School of Physical Education, and the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education. The school offers 46 undergraduate programs across 8 academic disciplines, including management, economics, literature, arts, law, engineering, science, and education.
The college has 2 provincial-level key disciplines, 3 provincial-level first-class programs, 3 provincial-level comprehensive reform pilot programs, 2 provincial-level specialized program development projects, 1 provincial-level demonstrative industrial college, 10 provincial-level course ideologies and politics reform pilot projects, 8 provincial-level teaching teams, 5 provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, 6 provincial-level practical teaching bases, and 10 provincial-level first-class courses. It has also been approved to establish a doctoral workstation in Guangdong Province.
The college employs 32 foreign faculty members for oral language teaching, emphasizing the development of practical foreign language skills. The school has developed a unique language teaching model focused on "solid foundation, application, and expansion." The "Lacquer Art Research Center" at the college is a key research base for humanities and social sciences in Guangdong Province and a base for the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture at Guangdong's higher education institutions.
The college enjoys a good reputation, with its admission scores ranking among the top in Guangdong's similar institutions in recent years. The employment rate of its graduates has consistently remained above 93%.
In its 31 years of operation, the college has steadfastly upheld the mission of educating people for the Party and nurturing talent for the country. It adheres to the motto "Cultivate wisdom, promote virtue, value action, and establish innovation" and follows the educational philosophy of "non-profit education, standardized education, integrity in education, distinctive education, student-centered, and quality first." The college has trained over 70,000 graduates, contributing significantly to the development of the economy and society, particularly in Guangdong.
